April 30th: YOUTH TEAM: Signet United Youth FC will soon be merging with Basildon Town. The plan is to give Basildon Town more young sides for the future. And Signet Chairman Jason Emery is excited by the move.
"This is great move for everyone at both clubs" stressed Jason
Signet United have taken the opportunity to ensure that the players that are already at the club, have a safe and constructive environment to develop their football as well as being part of a club that can offer the professionalism of a club like Basildon Town.
When we decided to look for a senior club to take us on, our first choice was Basildon Town and we were delighted that they felt as positive as we were. We hope that we can repay Basildon Town's faith by bringing success to them in the near future.
Basildon Town already have an under 14 team at the club next season and Signet United are adding another four teams to that. There will be two teams at under 12, one at under 13, one at under 14, and another at under 15's. All teams will play under Basildon Town name in the Southend and District Junior Sunday Football League.
These sides are open to new players, especially next season's Under 13's and Under 15's. Anyone intrested should contact Jason Emery on 07915 066663 for more details.
